Jeff Rake CA

A partner since 1981, Jeffrey Rake's areas of expertise include business consulting, superannuation planning and taxation with an accent on the service industries, building and construction and transport.
A North Queenslander, he maintains a close liaison with the primary production community. He gained his initial experience in his father's practice in Mackay prior to working for one of Australia's largest retailers.
His expertise is also substantially sought by clients in the vehicle, retailing, travel, building, hotel and manufacturing industries looking for a hands on approach. He is also a trustee of a public offer superannuation fund.
Jeff has extensive experience with investments and property development and with his superannuation skills helps his clients build their asset base so they can enjoy the right balance between work and play. He is a recognised coach in this area.

Craig Pashen CA

Craig, a partner since January 2000, began his accounting career with Rawsons in 1989 as a graduate. Since that time he has been extensively involved in advising on the myriad of taxation, accounting, computer and business issues facing small and medium sized business in Australia today.
Craig also has commercial accounting experience and spent much of that time assisting small to medium sized businesses reorganise and improve their accounting functions and providing advice to improving management information systems.
He also has strong technical skills in the areas of superannuation administration and taxation, general taxation and the GST. Craig is also a registered investment advisor.

Melissa McCrystal CA

Melissa has been a Partner since July 2008. Melissa started with Rawsons in 1996, initially employed as an undergraduate Accountant, then working her way up through the ranks. Melissa has been involved in all facets of the practice and has been an integral part of developing and improving the administration of the firm as well as nurturing relationships with clients.
Melissa has a wide range of experience in accounting, tax and audit in most industries with a particular focus on small business and self managed superannuation funds.
Melissa is also the “Staff Partner” and is responsible for workflow, supervision and training of all staff and can guide clients in this area if required.
